Stayed for 4 nights in this reasonably priced place, enjoyed that. The local staff were very attentive. We had the suite which was beautifully maintained and compact. The location was nice and near a park and a river.

This is a quaint and upscale place, with central location and cheap rooms. The staff are efficient, everyone. Thank you for a really nice stay.

I stayed in this quirky hotel for 4 days, had good experience, thoroughly enjoyed its incredible location close to the Upper West Side in Manhattan, bus route, and the best residential neighborhoods in Manhattan overlooking Riverside Park and the Hudson River and close to the subway bus and the cross-town bus. The food was good and the bar was superb.

Hotel is basic, just a place to sleep. Could be cheaper considering the prices and quality of other hotels. Location is very good. Needs renovation and a bit of money spent on it. Floor I was on smelt of cigar smoke. AC is old and makes noise but didn't matter as I was tired after a long day sightseeing so didn't hear it. Overall, good for backpackers, somewhere to crash, nothing else.
No wi fi in the room. Need to go down to the lobby. Needs a bit of money spent on it like new doors, ac, and get rid of the smoke smell.

The view was great. The staff were great. The room was authentic old New York.
The rooms were tiny, and smelled like cigarette smoke

This is my second stay and I thogut this time around it was disgusting. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt since one of the clerk has the same name as my adopted daughter. But to no avail. I feel that the hotel did not keep its end of the bargain. The hotel did process a pre-authorization on my credit card and charged the price of the rooms again causing a shortage on the total funds available at that time. In addition the rooms I booked thru you were not the ones given to me at the time of the booking. I booked one double room and one single room I traveled with my cousin and his wife. Total expense for this trip was around $600.00 The conditions were horrible and I intend to make it my business to let everyone know what kind of hotel this has become/ By the way this is my second time at the hotel and I thought it would get better instead of worst. It's filthy and you can even get anybody's attention at the desk. They are either on the phone texting or totally ignoring you. One of the desk clrek Nadine got annoyed at me for questioning the charges. Alos, I pointed out to the desk clerks (there were two desk attendants a man and a woman) that there was a big cockroach in front of the entrance and they both ignored me. This is the kind of service you get. I am still checking my luggage for bed bugs,,, That is how filthy the place was this time around. Please email them a copy and I will follow through with the proper parties to report my findings and the unfair treatment I received. I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location on Upper West Side. Really close to the subway on 79th St. Also close to Central Park West and Zabar's Broadway/80th Street where we bought both breakfast and sometimes also food for dinner at times. It's good to have a microwave oven and fridge in the room.
Free Wi-Fi only in the lounge and not in the room was a turn-off. And there was this strange, strong smell of flowers or something in the lounge as well that was really irritating.

Hotel staff is really excellent. I wish I was well treated as I was in this hotel in many first brand hotels I stayed before.
It's wonderful for short stays. I don't know if I'd stay there for longer than 4-5 days

Riverside Tower Hotel is conveniently located, being in close proximaty to shops, the subway, Museums, Central Park and plenty of choices for dining. The staff were always polite and helpful. Even though it is a bit older, I found it had a great ambience.
I think it could do with a bit of re-furbishment just to make it a bit more modern.

The room was clean - no bugs or mice or dirty sheets. Negatives were that the windows aren't well-sealed so the cold air does blow through. Don't expect luxury but if you're okay with just basics, this hotel will work for you.

I had read all the reviews, some good, some not great. This hotel is Cheap and Cheerful. The staff are excellent. They saved our group $40 off our return trip to JFK! The rooms are small, but we were only there to sleep.. sure they could do with an upgrade but then the price would go up... it is great value compared to most other hotels... very near the subway.. and a great place to have breakfast is the Cafe 82 on Broadway...

The location is fantastic, just a few blocks from Central Park and the subway. The staff were helpful. The room was quite old and in need of some repairs, with issues like a sagging bed and slow Wi-Fi. Still, I’d consider returning.
